Participating in the Conference were 25 Vietnamese enterprises and 14 Korean ones and the Association of Auxiliary Industry Enterprises of Hà Nội. The Workshop was the opportunity for Viet Nam and Korea’s enterprises to exchange and discuss directly on investment opportunities and technology supply and demand connection, which were previously surveyed as well as to look for cooperation opportunities in technology transfer, contributing to promote technology supply and demand connection among enterprises of the two countries.
Nearly 40 Viet Nam and Korea’s enterprises participated in the Conference
Mr. Hong Chang Woo, INNOBIZ’s Executive Director said that through activities of exchange, discussion, cooperation and introduction of technologies available for transfer, the Korean side has collected a lot of useful information while the Vietnamese side has also had good results. Mr. Hong Chang Woo hoped that through the Conference, Viet Nam and Korea’s enterprises would cooperate together and develop towards mutual benefit directions so that all enterprises would become outstanding in the future; at the same time technology promotion, negotiation and transfer and technology-based investment and joint venture would be continued to carry out for the coming time.
Delivering the opening speech in the Conference, Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Hải, SATI’s Deputy Director said that the technology use and transfer within the framework of Viet Nam’s enterprises and foreign ones has still been a process with many difficulties and challenges; SATI would always make efforts to go together with enterprises, look for best opportunities for Viet Nam’s enterprises to improve their technological capacities, manufacture high-competitive products and goods in domestic and foreign markets.
The cooperation between SATI and INNOBIZ has been implemented for more than 3 years, so far many enterprises have paid attention and shared information with Korea’s enterprises. INNOBIZ has made efforts to introduce Korea’s enterprises to meet with Viet Nam’s enterprises and have more linkages and cooperation activities developed for over the past time.
In 2015, the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed between SATI and INNOBIZ on promoting cooperation on technology transfer between Viet Nam and Korea, SATI has coordinated with INNOBIZ to carry out steps in order to promote Viet Nam – Korea technology transfer activities with 2015 objectives, which are inspection, survey and assessment of technology absorption and technology – based investment cooperation of about 100 Viet Nam’s small and medium enterprises.
Right after the Conference, during two days of August 28 and 29, 2015 SATI organized to connect 5 Korean enterprises to work directly with 5 Vietnamese ones to negotiate and discuss on technology transfer and investment cooperation between the two sides.
